Krishna literally "dark, black, dark-blue" is a central figure in Hinduism and is traditionally attributed to the authorship of the Bhagavad Gita. He is an avatar of Vishnu, and is considered by some monotheistic traditions as the Supreme Being. Krishna's birth, known as Janmashtami, is 18 July 3228 BC and left in 3102 BCE.
