Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi is the Hindu festival of Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his followers in the duration of this festival. It is the birthday of Ganesha, often revered as a god of wisdom, prosperity and happiness. An annual festival honoring Ganesha for ten days starting from Ganesh Chaturthi, which typically falls in late August or early September.
